Jean Cocteau (1889‑1963, Maisons‑Laffitte): French poet, novelist, playwright, illustrator and filmmaker. In the 1930s, he created jewelry for fashion designers Elsa Schiaparelli and Coco Chanel. Jean Cocteau died on October 11, 1963, the day after the death of his friend Édith Piaf.
