Platter - Tin

Italian pocket tray from the 'arts and crafts' period, known as Peltro Artistico from the area around Brescia and Bergamo in Lombardy. The dish dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and is made of 95% lead-free and food-safe tin. On the bottom of the dish the letters "peltro" can still be read vaguely, confirming its origin. There are 2 spots where the attachment of the feet is slightly visible, but since the whole tray has been worked with the hammered technique, this is not very distracting. A unique and antique piece.
