Will McBride (1931-2015) - Max

Will McBride (born 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri; died January 29, 2015 in Berlin) was a student of Norman Rockwell and studied painting at the National Academy of Design and art history, painting and illustration at Syracuse University (New York). His military service took him to post-war Germany, of which he became the photographic chronicler.
He lived as an internationally renowned, style-defining photographer in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and in Tuscany. His late work picked up on his early artistic beginnings and was devoted to painting and sculpture, with photography receding into the background.
