A bottle in immaculate condition: featuring an excellent fill level, pristine cork, vibrant color, and intact labels. No signs of leakage. While it is fully mature and drinking beautifully now, it possesses the structural integrity to be cellared for a further 20 years.
This is a wine to be cellared for years!! Vinified and matured in wooden cask for 18 months and then aged in cask from 1946 to 1959. 13 years in cask, 156 months. Bottled directly from the barrel. Not filtered. The wine was not placed on the market and stored in the old "cemetery" cellar until 1983. Re-corked and re-capsuled in 1983.
