Title: "Shock Wave"
Description:
Sometimes movement doesn’t arise slowly and steadily, but in a single, powerful moment. A impulse is enough to set something in motion that reaches far beyond its origin. This is exactly the moment this work captures: the instant when energy is released and makes its way forward relentlessly.
The black traces look like visible marks of an explosion or a impact. They spread in all directions, wild and unpredictable, while the red line runs through the image like a concentrated current. Between chaos and clarity a tension emerges that holds the eye and at the same time directs it forward.
"Shock Wave" tells of changes that occur suddenly and set everything in motion. Of decisions, encounters, or events whose impact extends far beyond the initial moment. The painting reminds us that even the smallest trigger can cause something great—and that in every tremor there is the energy for a new beginning.

The cracks in the painting are intentional.
They are not a sign of damage, but part of the artistic expression. The fractures belong to the surface as scars belong to skin: they tell of tension, movement, and the very process itself. It is precisely through these cracks that the work gains depth and authenticity—nothing is smoothed over, nothing hidden.
The canvas is delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, created mainly with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are carefully crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art he frequently explores themes such as identity, memory, and the examination of human emotions, often pushing the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite viewers to contemplate the complexity of the modern world and the deeper aspects of human experience.
For a painting measuring 200 x 110 cm, a canvas frame of 190 x 100 cm and a thickness of 2–4 cm is required.
You can either simply stretCH the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist and dated on the back.
High-quality, lightfast acrylic paints were used on multiple coats of white-ground gallery canvas.
A varnish has also been applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and therefore unique!
--- Authentic certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice, or office and upgrade your premises in an elegant and stylish way.
When a person goes into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysterious and hidden, waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, also tormentingly propped up, then art is born.
