Robert Crommelynck (1895–1968) was a prominent Belgian painter who played a marked role in the Belgian art world of the 20th century.

Between 1909 and 1921 he studied at the Academy of Liège. There he studied under renowned Belgian masters such as Adrien de Witte and Évariste Carpentier.

Shortly after World War I he was cofounder of progressive art collectives such as Le Cénacle, through which he helped young artists disseminate their work. In Belgian art history Crommelynck is regarded as a technical virtuoso who refused to follow fleeting avant-garde trends. He maintained a figurative, intimate aesthetics that swung between symbolism and warm realism.

His work was exhibited during his life at various national salons.

Posthumously his legacy remains alive through major retrospectives at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Liège (La Boverie) and Grand Curtius, both in Liège, and the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
