Louis XV / rocaille - Sugar tongs - .950 silver - 1850-1900 - solid silver

Old solid silver sugar tongs, French-made, dating probably from the late 19th or early 20th century.
It is stamped with Minerva, French guarantee mark for solid silver.
There is also a maker's mark in a diamond shape, partially legible in the photos.
Very pretty decoration in the Louis XV / Rococo style, with floral motifs, knots, oval cartouches, fluting and ends finished in claw-like shapes.
Lovely workmanship, an elegant and decorative object for a silverware collection or tableware.
