Description:
This premium paper print captures the intensity of legendary Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda inside the pit lanes, portrayed in a moment of maximum concentration before stepping onto the track. The driver, wearing his characteristic red suit covered with the historic sponsors of the era such as Parmalat, Marlboro and Ebel, is depicted raising his helmet above his head with both hands. His face is shielded by a white flame-retardant balaclava, from which only his blue eyes emerge, fixed and charged with cold, absolute determination. In the background, the blurred garage atmosphere, with stacked tires, mechanics at work, and light seeping in from the pit lane entrance, perfectly conveys the silent tension that precedes the race.
"I wanted to immortalize that private, almost sacred ritual in which a driver isolates himself from the chaos of the external world to become one with speed."
Creative Process:
The work was created through an innovative hybrid process: an initial draft was generated with sophisticated Artificial Intelligence, subsequently interpreted and entirely hand-colored by the artist using professional software on an iPad.
Packaging and Shipping:
Each print is personally packaged by the artist in their own studio. The packaging is highly protective as the print is shipped rolled in protective tubes.
The Artist – SSICK:
SSICK, born in 2003, is a young Italian artist whose work stands out for the ongoing search for a balance between technological innovation and artistic sensitivity. From the early years of his activity he developed a personal visual language, characterized by evocative compositions and immersive atmospheres. He also cultivates a deep passion for street art and graffiti, practices in which he engages through the design and creation of original stencils, used to bring to life urban interventions with strong visual and identity impact.
Founder of the artistic collective SSICKLAB, he regards technology as an expressive tool at the service of creativity. His works take shape through a process that blends artificial intelligence with a deep intervention of digital painting done by hand on an iPad, making every piece the result of a personal artistic vision.
