Description from the seller

Original Wrangler advertising manifesto from the 1970s, part of the famous Sandro Nardini illustrated series dedicated to portraits of the Native peoples of North America.

The artwork depicts Quanah Parker, historic chief of the Comanche and symbolic figure of the American West, rendered with great expressive intensity and remarkable attention to detail. The illustrative style evokes classic Western imagery and vintage advertising graphics of the period.

The manifesto was produced in the 1970s as promotional material for Wrangler, the historic American brand founded in 1947 and became one of the most iconic symbols of denim and American Western clothing. This edition, with texts in Italian, was created to promote the brand on the European market.

Sandro Nardini, Italian illustrator, is known for his works dedicated to the Western imaginary and to portraits of North American Native peoples. His illustrations are appreciated for strong realism, accuracy of details, and great decorative impact.

Poster with a strong visual impact, ideal for collectors of vintage advertising, American Western, and period advertising graphics.

DETAILS:
Technique: offset advertising print
Era: 1970s
Brand: Wrangler
Illustrator: Sandro Nardini
Dimensions: 60 × 48 cm (approx. 24 × 19 inches)
Subject: Western / vintage advertising / North American natives
Condition:
Poster overall well preserved, colors still vivid and paper intact. Widespread foxing, especially on the light background and along the edges. Slight signs of use around the edges and corners, with no tears or significant losses.
Main defect: on the right side of the Native’s garment there is a greenish halo, probably caused by attempts to remove a stain. The treatment has locally faded the print, leaving a permanent color alteration clearly perceptible.

Photographs are an integral part of the condition description.

SHIPPING:
The poster will be carefully shipped protected in a professional rigid tube to ensure its integrity during transport.
