About
Idris Khan is a contemporary artist who lives and works between Paris and Cologne and is known for her opulent floral compositions. Her works combine baroque image traditions with modern abstract structures, creating a unique visual language between painting and digital aesthetics. At the center of her oeuvre are fragmented floral arrangements that seem to dissolve and float in deep, marbled color fields. Khan explores themes of transience, beauty and transformation, reinterpreting classical still life and translating it into a contemporary context. Her works are characterized by intense color worlds, fine textures and an almost sculptural depth. Today Idris Khan is regarded as an exciting voice of the new generation, bridging traditional art history with modern image culture.
