Olga Vin - Primate Constellation, XXL

Primate Constellation depicts six apes gathered in a circular formation, surrounded by luminous, planet-like spheres. The monochrome, calligraphic figures contrast with saturated fields of green, blue, violet, yellow and orange, creating a composition that moves between ritual gathering, cosmic order and interspecies community.
The work belongs to the artist’s ongoing series devoted to primates, collective behaviour and the art-historical image of humanity. Apes appear here not as caricatures, but as contemplative figures associated with hierarchy, care, communication and social bonds. The extensive white space gives the composition clarity and a sense of suspension, while the coloured spheres introduce rhythm, energy and a symbolic, almost planetary dimension.
The painting combines expressive black linework with painterly, individually modelled colour forms.

About the artist

Dr Olga Winiarczyk is an intermedia artist and researcher with a Doctor of Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her works have been shown in over 40 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, Labirynt Gallery in Lublin, Kyiv Art Week, Venice, Budapest, New York and the Canary Islands.
She is the recipient of several awards and distinctions, including a scholarship from the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Her current practice explores interspecies art, primates, ritual, body politics and non-human perspectives.
