Compagnia discreta, a 58 x 44 cm oil and mixed technique painting from Italy, 2015, original edition, hand-signed, in excellent condition, sold with frame and directly from the artist.
Description from the seller
A woman immersed in reading in a summer garden, between the sunny yellow of her dress and the blue of her hat, finds refuge from the world.
Beside her, the cup of tea and the sleeping cat are symbols of domestic intimacy and serenity, an invitation to rediscover the slow pace of contemplation.
In recent years my artistic research has focused on merging three different shades of realism, giving life to a personal and innovative style.
Inside the works, the themes of contemporary living intertwine and blur, evoking, in some cases, the suspended atmospheres of Metaphysical painting.
Technical and authenticity notes:
The painting is finished with a thin white peripheral border, designed to allow the artwork to be displayed both in daylight (unframed) and with a classic mount.
The authenticity of the work is guaranteed by a certificate signed in my own hand on the back of the canvas.
Among the artist's recognitions is a historical review signed by Maestro Federico Fellini (Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1993)
