Description of the work
“Pixel Souls” explores the standardization of the body and color in a image-saturated society. The figurines, identical yet rendered in nuances, become avatars of our coded individuality. It is a subtle reflection on diversity within repetition, a theme dear to pop art and digital culture.
This work evokes both human fragility and digital syntax in the artist’s pop-art universe. The title builds a bridge between matter and code, between color and emotion.
Conceptually, this work is part of a reflection on the digitalization of identity: each figurine becomes a coded soul, a incarnated pixel.
About the artist
mARTworks is a contemporary French artist, whose inspiration sits at the crossroads of pop art, urban culture and raw emotion. Self-taught, he develops a singular visual language where the energy of hip-hop, the aesthetics of graffiti and a deeply introspective sensibility meet.
Coming from a family of artists, he grew up in an environment where creation is a natural mode of expression. His mother, trained at the Beaux-Arts and a designer for haute couture houses such as Nina Ricci or Paco Rabanne, instills in him a sense of detail, elegance and composition. This heritage nourishes an approach where every work becomes a message, a fragment of life intended to touch the viewer.
mARTworks works with material as a field of experimentation: acrylic, repurposed objects, chrome elements, mixed textures. He transforms simple symbols into contemporary icons, playing on the contrast between minimalism and emotional intensity.
His artistic project rests on a strong idea: each work is a message, a visual mantra that speaks to each of us, whatever our story.
Through his creations, mARTworks explores solitude, unity, resilience, inner light and the beauty of small things. His work invites us to look differently: to see in the object a mirror, in color an emotion, in simplicity a power.
