Description from the seller
Double-green-cut crystal vase – Val Saint-Lambert – Model close to “Braza” (CG 1013) – Charles Graffart – Belgium, circa 1950
Magnificent double-green crystal vase from the prestigious Val Saint-Lambert Crystalworks, Belgium, dating from the 1950s, the period of Charles Graffart’s creative activity.
This elegant piece is preserved with its original Val Saint-Lambert label, attesting to its provenance. Its decoration, workmanship, and cutting technique show strong similarities with the Braza model (ref. CG 1013) listed in the Val Saint-Lambert catalog of 1950. It is very likely a variant of this model or a deformation of the same period.
The vase is distinguished by its flared silhouette with harmonious lines, its delicately crenellated rim, its imposing twisted decoration, and its deep hexagonal body that highlights the play of light between the colorless crystal and the emerald green crystal layer.
The depth of the cutting, the purity of the crystal, and the intensity of the color testify to the remarkable know-how of Val Saint-Lambert’s master glassmakers and cutters, whose creations remain among the most sought-after pieces of Belgian crystal.

Remarks
Research in old Val Saint-Lambert catalogs situates this piece in the production of the 1950s. Its decoration is very close to the Braza model (CG 1013), while showing a few variations in shape, which suggests either a production variant or a contemporary model of this series.
A splendid collectible piece, elegant and decorative, intended for enthusiasts of Belgian crystal and collectors of Val Saint-Lambert creations.
