Jean-Yves Mitton (born 1945) is one of the great French illustrators of realistic comics. He is notably known for Vae Victis!, a vast historical epic devoted to Julius Caesar’s conquest of Gaul. His powerful and highly expressive drawing style has also led him to collaborate on numerous historical and adventure series, making his signed drawings particularly sought-after by collectors.
