Antique Edwardian Silver Pepper Shakers
Description: A beautiful and complete pair of antique Edwardian silver pepper shakers, complete with their original case. The pepper shakers feature an elegant baluster-shaped body resting on a round stepped base. The upper portion of the body is skillfully decorated with fine chasing depicting neoclassical garlands, floral roses, and flowing ribbons, while the openwork lids feature a decorative scroll finial.
Specifications: Material: 925 sterling silver.
Origin: Birmingham, England. Year of manufacture: 1903 (Edwardian period). Manufacturer: believed to be Levi & Salaman (very likely based on the visible "...L" maker's mark and the style of the period).
Condition: Excellent antique condition with slight patina associated with age, which beautifully highlights the chasing details. The original gift box is lined with luxurious purple velvet and silk, giving it a unique historical flair. Hallmarks (stamped on the neck): Maker's mark: illegible initials ending in "L" (corresponds to Levi & Salaman). Lion in disarray: British hallmark certifying the purity of sterling silver.
