Jacob's Room - Hand-signed is a 60 x 40 cm giclée on canvas by LeYack, limited to 20 copies, created in 2022, signed by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, produced in France and shipped directly from the artist in good condition.
Description from the seller
Ascending and sculptural verticality. On a tiled ledge overlooking a sea of deep blue, two bathers in 1930s attire: one standing, wearing a garnet one-piece swimsuit and a white cap, dominating the composition with her long sun-tanned legs; the other, seated at her feet in a navy striped swimsuit and a pale straw-yellow cap, lets her calves dangle into the water. Between them, a silvery seagull has perched on the knee of the seated figure, still, as if integrated into the group. Semiotically, the pyramidal construction — the red vertical, the striped horizontal, the bird as keystone — organizes a silent hierarchy of lowered gazes: no one fixes their gaze; each inhabits her own reverie. The deep red of the swimsuit bursts as the only warm focal point in a range of marine blues, pale sky, and cream tiling. The finish, smooth and precise, evokes the seaside Art Deco poster as much as magical realism.

About the artist:
LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
Keywords: neo-realist painting, Art Deco bathers, 1930s, swim cap, one-piece swimsuit, seagull, tiled ledge, blue sea, magical realism, seaside poster, summer sky, oil on canvas, Le Yack, Atelier Joconde
