Maryse Coin, "Ryse Kaïa" is my artist name, I am self-taught.
I am French and live in Niort (79). (born in 1957).
Passionate about color and texture, I explore different styles ranging from abstract expressionism and action painting to very realistic academic painting. I use different media: acrylic, oil, collage.
My works can be found in private collections, notably in Europe, the United States and Morocco.
I have participated in numerous Exhibitions and Salons: Deauville, Paris, Perpignan. Marrakech, Florence, Bellano.

Abstract Expressionism: I used projection techniques, splattering, and dripping that recall Action Painting. The image does not seek to faithfully reproduce reality, but rather to translate the energy, movement and vitality of nature.
The canvas presents a great richness of textures. One sees a layering of successive paint coats, creating a striking depth effect where foreground elements seem to spring from the background.

The composition guides the eye from bottom to top. The base of the painting is darker and denser, evoking roots and wild grasses deeply anchored in the soil. Towards the top, the lines narrow and extend, ending in an explosion of light colors that evoke petals floating in the air.
A bright and textured sky blue occupies the upper left, offering visual relief against the lush vegetation that spreads across the rest of the canvas.
Cold tones in the background: Turquoise blue, cyan blue and emerald green dominate the vegetation structure, giving an impression of freshness and dense foliage.
Warm and vibrant touches: Spots of bright orange, candy pink, violet and pistachio green punctuate the canvas. These warm color touches act like wildflowers (poppies, lavender, buttercups) that catch the sunlight.
