Armand Meffre (1929–2009) French actor and painter.
Iconic stage and screen actor, Armand Meffre acted under the direction of major filmmakers alongside Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort, or Gérard Depardieu.
Trained in painting with master André Lhote, he developed a sensitive, luminous, and deeply humane body of work. His canvases, imbued with tenderness and poetry, reveal a profoundly human gaze, between restrained emotion and sincere simplicity. A complete artist, whose each painting tells a story and moves with its authenticity.
