Description from the seller
Sericho Pallasite – End-Cut with Olivine Crystals
A beautiful end-cut specimen from the Sericho pallasite, discovered in 2016 in the arid plains of Habaswein, Kenya. Its polished face reveals a striking display of vivid olivine crystals in green and golden-amber tones, firmly set within a dense iron-nickel matrix — the hallmark combination that makes Sericho one of the most visually compelling pallasites in the world.
Each piece has been carefully coated to protect the metallic matrix from oxidation, ensuring the specimen remains stable and display-ready for years without any maintenance. The unpolished outer edge is preserved in its natural state, offering a compelling contrast between the raw exterior and the gem-filled interior.
Pallasites account for less than 1% of all known meteorites worldwide, making every piece a rare and genuine fragment of our solar system’s earliest history.
Includes:
• Certificate of authenticity
• Informational booklet
Type: Pallasite (Stony-Iron)
