Large Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Bottle Vase – Dragon & Phoenix – China – ca. 1970

A large and impressive Chinese porcelain bottle vase, dating from approximately 1970, beautifully decorated in the traditional famille rose palette.

The globular body is finely hand-painted with an imperial five-clawed dragon and a phoenix flying among stylized clouds and flames, surrounding the flaming pearl. The tall neck is decorated with precious objects and floral scrolls, while decorative borders with gilt accents frame the shoulder, neck and rim. The decoration is inspired by Qing dynasty imperial porcelain and executed with vibrant enamel colours.

This elegant vase makes an excellent decorative statement and is suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
