Bishan Singh - Medoes and the mountains

This painting is part of my ongoing mountain series. It started outdoors as a plein air study and was later developed in my studio. Working this way allows me to keep the freshness and honesty of painting from life while taking more time to develop the final piece.
For me, these paintings are not only about the landscape itself but about the experience of being there—the quiet, the light, the open space, and the feeling the mountains leave behind. I hope the painting gives the viewer a chance to slow down for a moment and find their own connection with nature.
