Bishan Singh - "Mighty Mountains"

This painting is part of my ongoing series inspired by my time in the mountains. Most of these works begin as plein air studies, painted outdoors while experiencing the landscape firsthand, and are later developed into larger studio paintings.
For me, painting this way is about bringing back more than just a view. It is about remembering the atmosphere, the changing light, the silence, and the feeling of standing in nature. The final painting becomes a balance between direct observation and memory, allowing the experience of the place to remain present in the work.
Rather than describing a particular location, I wanted to capture the quiet beauty and openness that mountains often leave with us. The painting is open to interpretation, inviting each viewer to connect with their own memories of nature and moments of stillness.
