This work fuses painting and object, transforming an immediate and recognizable image into a physical gesture suspended in time. The brushstroke, incorporated into the canvas, is not just a tool but a living trace of the action, as if the mark had frozen exactly at the moment it was happening.

The neutral face, universal icon of detachment and emotional ambiguity, is reinterpreted through a broad, imperfect sign, traversed by drips that crack its apparent staticity. The expression remains suspended: neither positive nor negative, but blocked in an intermediate zone where emotion and absence of emotion coexist. What normally communicates immediacy in the digital realm becomes something more unstable and human.

The insertion of the brush breaks the two-dimensional surface and shifts the work into a hybrid dimension, between painting and sculpture.
