Description from the seller
« Autoportrait: On the Edge of Skin »
Original work in pastel and oil on watercolor paper.
Through this self-portrait, I explore my own image between vulnerability, self-assurance, and femininity.
The warm colors, free lines, and spontaneous gestures convey a presence that is both delicate and assertive. The gaze, the body, and the attitude become a reflection of a personality that fully embraces both its sensitivity and its strength.
This work celebrates sincere, expressive, and deeply vibrant femininity. It speaks of self-confidence, emotions laid bare, and the beauty that arises when one fully accepts their identity.
The pictorial writing favors the energy of the stroke, the forms deliberately simplified, and the emotional intensity over academic realism.
This approach is inspired by Expressionism and the expressive power of the plastic language of Egon Schiele, while giving birth to an entirely original work.
