Offered is a fine and substantial set of 18 hand-painted polychrome wall tiles, crafted in the traditional Dutch tile-making art and executed in the beloved Makkum style. The tiles form a particularly decorative whole and show a varied panorama of soldiers from the Dutch Golden Age.
Each tile is hand-painted on a white tin-glazed ground and features the classic fleur-de-lis corner motif.
