Jos van Dijk(1913-1998) - Winter in de polder

Jos van Dijk worked for a period under the influence of Cobra. He knew, for example, Karel Appel, personally. In the color use in this work I think I can still detect that influence. However, he never let go of realism.
Technically a skilled painter who, among other things, contributed to a restoration of Panorama Mesdag.
Pastiche-like work in excellent condition. The frame shows signs of aging but is, in itself, fitting for the work.
