Description from the seller
CONCEPT OPERA:
Anne and the House in the Woods
Oil on primed cardboard cm 35*25
Between the tall grass and the old dwelling,
a deer friend appeared enchantingly;
I see Annie, the little girl from then,
in the golden forest I loved so much.
A sweet veil of melancholy
caresses that time flown away
Little work from my series "metamorphoses of memory"

ARTIST NEWS
Laura Muolo, born in 1975, Milan native and Rimini by adoption. She approaches art as a self-taught artist since 2013. Her starting medium is graphite, with which she immediately seeks the realism of faces, later turning to other media such as pastel and painting.
She participates in many exhibitions in Italy and internationally; her works are also shown in important Italian museums. Her pieces are part of several private collections around the world. Four solo exhibitions so far. She collaborated on a book cover for a poetry collection in 2015 and on the cover of a philosophy book in 2023.
Winner and finalist of several artistic competitions, nationally and internationally.
Laura describes her work as follows: “I prefer oil painting for its reflective nature: it allows me to build the image step by step, changing, filing, perfecting.Sometimes I use pastel on cardboard to capture the subject’s essence quickly, in a direct and instinctive way. My style is realistic, but my painting tells inner worlds, hidden emotions and stories to decipher.
My works move between dreamlike landscapes and figures immersed in their thoughts, accompanied by shadows that reveal what is not seen: desires, fears, memories. Each scene starts from photographs of young subjects and takes shape through symbols, objects, and animals that give voice to a memory or a deep feeling. Painting, for me, is a journey into the dimension of the unspoken.”
Laura collaborates with the galleries Ranarossa in Modena and LoyeloArtGallery in Volterra
