Rodrigo Alonso Cuesta (Burgos, 1982). Reside in Spain.

His artistic activity focuses mainly on oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, digital art, and paper, where he creates paintings, drawings, and collages. His style is characterized by a rich, vivid, and expressive color range, as well as a plastic compositional style with dynamic and unusual perspectives, influenced by his passion for analog photography.

The themes he tackles in his works are “landscapes, still lifes and portraits…that’s it,” following the famous David Hockney phrase. Although his work starts from figurative representation, he has recently begun to experiment with geometric abstraction, always in large, expansive formats.

This artist has participated in numerous national exhibitions, with a special focus on the north of Spain. For over 20 years, he has presented his work in various locations, such as Burgos, Teruel, Vitoria, and Salamanca, where his work is especially recognized. He has also received painting awards at both national and international levels, demonstrating his talent and recognition in the artistic field.

Recently he won the prize at the III Motril Art Contest. 2024.
