Extremely rare, a salt shaker in eighteenth-century blown crystal. Probably manufactured at the old Royal Glass Factory of Coina (Setúbal, Portugal). The Royal Factory of Crystal Glass of Coina is a nearly forgotten reality, yet it was a pioneer on the Iberian Peninsula and held the monopoly on the production of fine glass and window glass, exporting to China and supplying in full the giant Royal Convent of Mafra.
