Description from the seller

For lovers of exceptional pieces and fine Belgian crystal, here is a vase with a remarkable visual presence. This piece is an emblematic creation of the famous Val Saint Lambert manufactory dating from the 1950s. It perfectly illustrates the technique of ruby red doubled crystal, enhanced by a very deep geometric cut in diamond points on the body and wide vertical facets flaring at the neck. This architectural contrast plays magnificently with light. It is an exceptionally dense and massive piece, showing a substantial weight of 3100 g for a height of 21 cm, a neck diameter of 15 cm and a base diameter of 11.5 cm. Unsigned, as was regularly the case at that time, but the origin is indisputable. On the condition side, the vase has lived and presents a few discrete micro-chips as well as lime-scale traces inside. The inner side seems to have been cleaned long ago with a product or utensil slightly abrasive, leaving marks that, through transparency, remain unfortunately visible from the outside. These details are clearly visible in the photos but do not take away from its superb light-reflecting power once displayed. For its safety, this precious vase will benefit from armored packaging with reinforced professional protection.

If you appreciate fine European crystal and exceptional mid-century design, here is a truly spectacular statement piece. This vase is an iconic 1950s creation from the prestigious Belgian glassworks Val Saint Lambert. It beautifully showcases their mastery of ruby red cased crystal, combined with an intricately deep, hand-cut geometric diamond pattern and wide vertical facets expanding towards the rim. This structural design creates a magnificent display of light and reflection. This is an exceptionally dense and heavy piece, weighing a substantial 3100 g with a height of 21 cm, a rim diameter of 15 cm, and a base diameter of 11.5 cm. Unsigned, which was regular for Val Saint Lambert productions from this era, but its origin is unmistakable. Regarding its condition, the vase has been loved and shows a few discrete micro-chips as well as internal limescale marks. The inside wall appears to have been cleaned in the past with something slightly abrasive, leaving marks that remain unfortunately visible from the outside through the crystal. These details can be seen in the photos, though they do not take away from its beautiful light-catching presence. Rest assured that for shipping, this valuable piece will be double-boxed and heavily padded to professional standards.
