Scuola napoletana (XIX) - San Francesco

Oil painting on canvas, the original canvas, by an anonymous artist of a certain Neapolitan school, likely within a circle of authors of sacred origins, from the private Papa Dario collection, attributable to the second half of the nineteenth century. It depicts Saint Francis of Assisi, a religious figure and poet proclaimed a Saint by Pope Gregory, the condition of preservation is discreet; the photographs clearly indicate the relevant parts with a ruler. The precious period frame, in excellent restored condition, is an added value. All of this is original and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and provenance, a stamped photograph signed by an expert appraiser attached. An expertly packed, carefully trackable shipment is guaranteed. Canvas alone measures 53 x 42 cm.
