Description from the seller
Nicole Lubbers has been moving at an international level for years within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice in Times Square and achieved second place at the World Art Awards. In addition, she participated in several international biennales and her work is represented in multiple galleries spread across Europe.
With her newest collection Nicole Lubbers forges a distinctly new artistic path. While her international experience remains palpably present, she now consciously chooses quietness, layering and authenticity. In her recent works she explores the fragile beauty of memory, fading and emotional resonance.
Working with durable oil paint, acrylic and charcoal she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between silence and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time and human presence.
The works are produced on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and presented intentionally without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to adapt the artwork entirely to their own interior and experience — both with and without a frame.
For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer only about image, but about feeling, memory and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics and personal expression — a rediscovery of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
