A rare and impressive original Bavarian helmet front plate (Wappen) for the Imperial German Pickelhaube, Model 1886/87.
The Bavarian M1886 Wappen is one of the largest and most distinctive helmet plates used during the German Empire period. This exceptional example features the characteristic Bavarian royal coat of arms with the intertwined decorative leaves between the legs of the supporting lions, a highly recognizable detail of the M1886 pattern.
