Leonard Jordaens: born in 1944 in Merksem, and died in 2000 in Antwerp. Son and pupil of Leon Jordaens, he subsequently developed autodidactically. He painted, among other things, landscapes, coastal scenes with boats, seascapes and still lifes with flowers. His works are characterized by expressive cloud masses and a striking light and color diffusion.
