Description from the seller

Antique bust of Napoleon, by Antoine-Denis Chaudet.
A.D. Chaudet was a French sculptor, born in 1763 and died in 1810.
Napoleon saw — when he was in Rome — this Chaudet statue of the Roman emperor Caesar and was immediately fond of it, because it was very special: it had "cut-off shoulders".
Until then, in France only busts were made with richly decorated shoulders (with epaulettes) and rich decorations on the chest and standing on a pedestal.
Napoleon found this new version of the bust so beautiful that he asked Chaudet to come to Paris, set up a workshop there and thus have 1,200 identical images of himself carved.
Chaudet brought a number of students to France and thus 1,200 such busts were made for 1 in every town hall in France.
As this statue shows quite a bit of wear, it seems to be from that era. However I do not guarantee it.
The photos are part of the description.
Can be picked up in 3770 Riemst or shipped.
The statue is packed on a pallet in a PVC box (see last photos; there you see 3 stacked on top of each other).
The stated shipping costs for Europe are for the surrounding countries.
For the "Rest of Europe", the shipping cost depends on the destination country: for example Norway or Portugal shipping costs can be higher and the customer may be contacted.
TIP: Riemst lies 7 km from Tongeren where weekly on Sunday morning the GREATEST ANTIQUE MARKET of the BeNeLux takes place. All nationalities come here to look/buy. You can combine picking up the frame/list with a visit to the antique market and then Sunday afternoon pick up the frame/list at home.
Moreover, Riemst lies also 5 km from Maastricht and 15 km from Liège/Luik
