Description from the seller
This heavy crystal vase from the famous Val Saint Lambert glassworks (Belgium) has an incredible presence due to its exceptional thickness and modernist silhouette. Dating from the mid-20th century, it beautifully showcases the factory's mastery of ruby red cased crystal. The geometric hand-cut pattern is deeply executed, creating a series of bold colored diamonds framed by clear crystal bevels that capture natural light spectacularly. This is an impressively massive and dense piece weighing a substantial 2500 g, with a height of 18 cm and a maximum diameter of 15 cm. It is unsigned and no longer retains its sticker, but its manufacturing quality and origin are unmistakable. It is in very good overall vintage condition. There are just some light, normal signs of wear on the body of the vase, as well as the usual shelf scratches under the base from decades of handling. All in all, a bold statement piece that might require a sturdy shelf but will effortlessly elevate any interior. The item will be shipped in a professional packaging.
