Centrepiece - Crystal - Table centerpiece 62 cm

This large centerpiece (or sculptural bowl) in Murano blown glass comes from the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks and dates from the 1950s-1960s. It is a spectacular piece by its outsized dimensions, with elongated, organic shapes typical of Italian Mid-Century design. The glass work is remarkable, using the sommerso technique to imprison beautiful color gradients within a thick wall of translucent crystal. The object boasts an impressive span with a height of 65 mm, a maximum width of 42 cm, and a very substantial weight of 2500 g. A true mark of authenticity: it retains its original label (partially legible) on the side. In terms of condition, the piece has traversed the ages and shows some nicks and micro-scratches from normal use, visible under certain angles of light and in the photos.
