Trace is a mineral, tactile abstraction by Kseniya Turik, a contemporary European artist based between Paris and Marbella, exhibited at Art Capital – Grand Palais (Paris, 2025 & 2026), Carrousel du Louvre, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum (2025), Salon des Indépendants (Beijing & Shenzhen, 2025) and in private collections.
Built up over a gesso ground in acrylic and lacquer, the surface reads like a geological cross-section — a naturally poured, mineral-like relief where pigment settles and cures into its own topography. Fine ink-like inclusions drift beneath the surface, hairline craquelure catches the light, and a pearlescent sheen with violet undertones shifts as you move around the work, revealing new depth at every angle.
This is not decoration — it is presence. A quiet, dense object for interiors that reward close attention: the kind of surface that changes character from morning to evening light, and asks to be lived with rather than simply looked at.
Edition: Original, one-of-a-kind painting (not an edition/print).
Provenance: Directly from the artist's studio (Turik & Art).
Documentation: Certificate of Authenticity included.
Condition: Excellent, in original studio condition. Built up over a gesso ground with acrylic and lacquer layers, the surface carries a naturally poured, mineral-like relief with fine textural grooves. Within this relief, the work shows the deliberate hallmarks of the artist's process: scattered ink-like inclusions suspended in the pigment layer, hairline craquelure in the cured lacquer, and a shimmering pearlescent sheen with subtle violet highlights shifting across the surface depending on the light — all integral to the technique, not damage.
Shipping: Shipped on its stretcher frame, packed in double cardboard.
