Antique Silver Pocket Watch, Cylinder Escapement, 10 Rubis, Sub-Second - c. 1890DescriptionFor sale is an antique open-face pocket watch, manufactured in Switzerland during the late 19th or early 20th century (c. 1880–1910).Case & Dimensions: Genuine silver case with a diameter of 44.9 mm (excluding the crown/bow) and a total weight of 57.92 grams. The inner dust cover (cuvette) features decorative engravings and is marked "Vacheron Geneve" (an era-specific style homage, often referred to by collectors as a "System Vacheron" period piece).Dial: Beautiful white enamel/porcelain dial in very good condition with black Roman numerals. It features a desirable sub-second dial at the 6 o'clock position and elegant dark hands.Movement: Swiss bridge movement, cylinder escapement with 10 jewels ("Cylindre 10 Rubis"). Key-wind and key-set mechanism.Key: Please note that the winding key is NOT included in this lot.Condition: Visually in very good antique condition with minor signs of wear and a lovely natural patina on the silver.
