This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between the woman and her surroundings. Her works address with subtlety and strong visual impact themes such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposal of high aesthetic value.

This artwork presents two dynamic portraits of iconic pop culture characters, each meticulously constructed from thousands of words and letters interwoven in gold, gray, and black tones on a deep background. The technique used powerfully evokes the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where the crack lines and imperfection are repaired with gold, turning the 'break' into a beautiful and resilient feature. In this piece, the words and typography act as those golden lines, repairing, defining, and transforming the figures of Sonic and Minion into entities that seem forged from sacred writing, symbolizing the permanence and transcendence of these modern heroes. The work, as shown in image_1.png, is not merely a representation of the characters, but a meditation on the construction of form through text and the celebration of fragility transformed into strength.
