Saint-Clément 7492 Barbotine
Beautiful, original mid-century barbotine pitcher (French: pichet canard) in the shape of a wild duck among the reeds. This is a 1950s/60s production of the iconic, original Art Nouveau design from around 1900 by the famous artist Émile Gallé and his father Charles Gallé for the French factory Saint-Clément.
Manufacturer: Faïencerie de Saint-Clément (France).
Model number: 7492 (blind stamp/impressed on the underside).
Marks: Marked with blind stamp "St. Clément France" and a hand-painted factory work number (digit 5) on the base.
Height: Approximately 34 cm.
Condition:
The jug is visually in neat, glossy condition with very bright colors and a beautiful glaze slip.
