Chimento Double cufflinks in 18k tri-colour gold (yellow, white and rose), total weight 9.67 g, Italy origin, vintage late 1990s, in excellent condition; no laboratory report.
Description from the seller
CHIMENTO – Pair of "Double" 18kt three-color gold button covers (750) – Weight 9.67g - Vintage 1990s
Splendid and rare pair of male button covers by Chimento, belonging to the famous and historic "Double" collection from the late 1990s.
The items feature on the back the patented clip system (Registered Design), designed to be easily attached over ordinary shirt buttons, instantly turning them into a refined pair of shirt cufflinks.
The front design is a masterpiece of Vicenza goldsmithing from the end of the century: a domed circular structure in which the three tones of 18-carat gold — yellow gold, white gold and rose gold — intertwine in perfect symmetry in an "S" shape, creating a sophisticated chromatic contrast.
The official legal assay hallmarks are clearly visible and legible on both pieces at the back of the clip:
750 inside the oval (18-carat gold certification)
☆ 408 VI (historic factory identification mark of Chimento, Vicenza)
Chimento trademark stamped in full
Dicitura MOD. DEP. (Model Deposited)
Technical specifications:
Material: 18kt Gold / Title 750 (Yellow, White, and Rose)
Total weight (pair): 9.67 grams
Conditions: Excellent vintage condition, light and normal micro-scratches from use entirely negligible, clip mechanisms perfectly stable, snapping and functioning.
