Description from the seller
Violin from the second half of the 19th century to the early 20th century of luthiery.\nAttributed to the school of the former Eastern Europe (by experts who have examined it; attributed to the Bohemian luthier school),\n\n(presents a false label of RAFFAELE FIORINI - Bologna BO - 1875, as was in use between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, to give greater importance to instruments from schools and luthiers not established as Italian ones).\n\nThis attribution has been indicated both by Maestro Paolo Bandini Callegari of the Museo Casa Della Musica in San Marino, and by Mr. Rainer Michael Cocron of the English & Hayday auction house (the latter also valued it, setting a starting auction price).\n\nIt is an excellent instrument for study and performance, with a very full and powerful tone, in 4/4 size; my personal instrument inherited from my grandfather in the 1980s, which accompanied me through my conservatory studies and concerts up to 1994, the year I left music for other life choices. The violin was restored in 1988 by Master Luthier Salvatore Valentinetti of Ortona (Ch) with various interventions including on the scroll, neck, interior and tailpiece.\nThe violin has always been kept in its case in a controlled humidity and temperature environment. But it surely needs a new inspection and restoration to bring it to perfection and to maximize its very high potential, especially for the powerful timbre that characterizes it.\n\nI also provide a shockproof case. The shipment will be made only with an insured courier for the full value.
