Yulanda Ferrer's original oil on canvas titled Red Frequency, 50 cm high by 80 cm wide, a contemporary cityscape signed by the artist in 2016, sold direct from the artist with certificate of authenticity, unframed and shipped rolled.
Description from the seller
"Red Frequency" is an original oil painting by Yulanda Ferrer that explores the rhythm and emotional intensity of contemporary urban life.
Rather than presenting the city as a fixed place, the painting approaches it as a system of movement, repetition and interruption. The strong architectural lines create a sense of structure and acceleration, while the red elements act like visual signals cutting through the greys and blacks of the surrounding environment.
The central figure appears caught between motion and stillness, physically present in the city yet mentally elsewhere. This tension gives the work its emotional depth. "Red Frequency" can be read as a reflection on individuality within crowded systems, on the invisible distance between people, or on the private worlds we carry through public space.
The limited palette makes the red feel especially charged. It becomes more than a colour: it functions as energy, urgency, memory and resistance. The result is a contemporary urban composition that feels cinematic, psychologically open and visually powerful.
Expressive brushwork and simplified forms place the painting between figurative art and contemporary semi-abstraction. Its horizontal format and strong graphic structure make it particularly suitable for modern interiors, lofts, offices, creative spaces and contemporary residential settings.
