Anonymous Swiss Pocket Watch – "Ancre de Précision" – Working
Offered is an attractive antique Swiss mechanical pocket watch featuring the desirable "Ancre de Précision" designation and award engravings inside the case commemorating the Brussels 1910 and Berne 1914 exhibitions. These inscriptions were commonly used by Swiss manufacturers to promote the quality of their anchor escapement movements during the early 20th century.
The watch is in working condition. It has not been serviced or tested for long-term accuracy, and a service is recommended before regular use.
The watch features a white enamel dial with stylized Arabic numerals, gilt minute markers, elegant gilt Louis-style hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. The dial shows visible age-related wear, including a chip near the 4 o'clock position and light surface marks. The silver-colored base metal case displays honest wear and patina consistent with its age.
