Peasant silver - Goblet - Glass

An antique blown mercury (amalgam) glass goblet, traditionally known in Central Europe as "peasant silver". The goblet is hand-blown using the hollow glass technique, just like the glass thermos bottles. This authentic piece of historic glassware dates back to the second half of the 19th century (Austro-Hungarian Empire era), likely crafted by a renowned Bohemian glassworks. The exterior of the goblet is richly decorated with hand-painted white ornamental arches and features raised, vibrant blue enameled beads (droplets). The interior boasts a stunning, warm golden-amber mirrored reflection.
Good antique collector's condition. The internal silvering is remarkably intact without major peeling. The glass has no chips, cracks, or flea bites. The painted details and blue enameled beads are allmost fully complete.
