Description from the seller
Italian Florentine-style piano stool – Wood – First half of the 20th century
Unique and characterful antique piano stool in the recognizable Italian Florentine style (Arte Fiorentina).
This height-adjustable stool is a beautiful example of early 20th-century craftsmanship with a very decorative appearance.
The stool features the regionally typical ochre-yellow and gray-blue painting typical of Florence.
The round seat stands out with a beautiful, detailed floral motif, surrounded by an elegantly designed edge.
The base is robustly built with a thick central column and nicely turned side supports on a stable foot.
Over the years the piece has developed a splendid, authentic patina.
The craquelé in the paint and the natural wear give this stool its unique 'shabby chic' or brocante character.
An absolute eye-catcher in any eclectic, classical or vintage interior!
