Original, fully handwritten letter by Edgar P. Jacobs (1904–1987), the legendary Belgian comic author and creator of Blake et Mortimer. The letter is written on official letterhead of Edgar P. Jacobs, dated Lasne, January 3, 1973, consists of two pages, and is personally signed at the end.

It is a very content-rich work letter in which Jacobs discusses in depth an ongoing research or publication project. He covers, among other things:
- documents for a study about his work;
- permission from Les Éditions du Lombard;
- contacts with Guy Leblanc;
- radio adaptations of Le Piège Diabolique and S.O.S. Météores;
- the preparation of Rayon U;
- the reissues of Tintin;
- reproduction of archive documents and the associated costs.
