Lot of 2 vintage Dutch decorative boxes made of silver-plated metal, with high relief scenes.

Large rectangular box:
Tea box, jewelry box or storage box. Made of silver-plated metal. The lid and all sides are decorated with embossed Dutch countryside scenes: tavern, horse cart, figures and farm animals. Interior lined with green velvet. Has hallmarks on the edge of the lid. Good condition with natural patina. The silver plating is slightly worn on the raised areas consistent with age. Approximate dimensions 18 x 8 x 5.5 cm. Approximate weight 400g.

Small oval box:
Spoon box, pill box or snuff box. Made of silver-plated metal. The lid features an interior scene with figures at a table and a dog. Gilt interior. Good condition with natural patina. Approximate dimensions 6.5 x 5 x 1.5 cm.

General details:
Estimated period 1950-1960. Antique-inspired style, traditional Dutch design. Origin Netherlands. Overall good condition with signs of wear appropriate for age.

Decorative pieces highly appreciated by collectors of Dutch brocante items. The tavern scene style is similar to Douwe Egberts Herbert Hooijkaas models.
